The Lord and the Trinity Baptist Church family extended the call for me to become Sr. Pastor of TBC of Lufkin, in September 2015. It was a homecoming of sorts as Lufkin is the place I was born, raised, and have been blessed to spend the majority of my life. I graduated from the old High School (which is now Lufkin Middle School) in May of 1981. In fact each morning as I come to the office I see Panther Stadium which was the venue of our high school graduation ceremony. Since that time I have finished college, seminary, and finally attained my Master’s Degree in 2013.
My wife, Donna, and I were married March 3, 1984. Donna is a Professional Counselor in private practice. She is also a great helpmate and encourager in ministry. Our marriage has been blessed with two wonderful children. Our daughter Nicole is married to Timothy Roberson and they are the parents of our 3 beautiful grandchildren, Julia (7), Cline (3) and Ella (2). Timothy is Sr. Pastor of First Baptist Church, Logansport, La. Our son Corey is 23, single, and currently serves as our Youth Pastor here at TBC.
We have been involved in ministry all of our married life. We started out our ministry as Music & Youth Pastor at Pine Grove, Diboll, Texas, then FBC Apple Springs where Donna also served as pianist. Full time ministry positions at Farmington Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi (M&Y Pastor), Sr. pastor of O’Quinn Baptist Church in Pollok, Sr. Pastor of the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague, Texas before coming back home to Lufkin and TBC.
I enjoy my ministry work. I get great satisfaction from ministering to the people that God has called me to shepherd. I love to prepare and then preach the word each Sunday and Wednesday to our TBC family and guests. We have a great time looking into, exploring, and applying the Word of God to our lives. It brings me joy to minister to our church family and friends in hospitals, nursing homes and their personal homes during their times of need. It is my desire to see my congregation grow in love, spirit, knowledge as well as in their personal relationship with one another but especially with Jesus Christ.
The Lord has blessed me also with the opportunity to minister through singing. I come from a musically inclined family and it has been a large part of my life. It has been my privilege to record five solo projects over the years. The Lord continues to give me great satisfaction still today through the ministry of music.
I do enjoy building things in my woodshop. Time does not allow for much, but I do truly enjoy it when the opportunity comes. I also enjoy fishing as well as chasing and hunting golf balls (usually my own golf balls).
If you might be looking for a church to call home then please give us a look and a try here at TBC. We still have both morning and evening worship services (our service times are listed here on web site). You can come dressed in a suit and tie or you can come casually in jeans or slacks. Our services are pretty laid back. TBC is just a group of people who love one another and love the Lord.

Eddie Brown became our music pastor in December, 2015. He is responsible for leading us in worship, directing the choir, supervising the worship technology, and building our website.
Bro. Eddie and his wife, Lori, have been married since 1984 and have two children, Allie and Blake. Lori teaches language arts at Lufkin Middle School. Allie is married to Captain Philip McCombs, USAF, and they have two children, Javan and Arabella. Blake is married to Lauren and they have one child, Piper.
Eddie has been in ministry for 30+ years. He is a graduate of Livingston High School and has a degree in Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University. He has served as a minister of youth, minister of music, minister of education, and minister of administration in several churches in East Texas.
Eddie enjoys building things with wood (especially toys for his grandchildren), target shooting, and occasionally playing golf. Eddie's favorite verses are:
Ephesians 4:11-13 "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ."
1 Corinthians 16:13 "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."
1 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline."
Eddie's passion in ministry is to see people grow in their relationship with Jesus and to help them mentor others to do the same.
